Earthquake Alert According to the National Center for Seismology, on Thursday, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck the Andaman Islands. This was the second earthquake in the region within two days.
As of now, there are no reports of casualties or significant damage.
The National Center for Seismology (NCS) also reported that on Wednesday, another earthquake of magnitude 5.0 hit the Nicobar Islands.
The NCS provided a tweet stating, “A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred on August 2, 2023, at 05:40:11 IST, with a latitude of 9.32 and longitude of 94.03, at a depth of 10 km, in the vicinity of the Nicobar Islands.”
No information about casualties has been reported.
